Format: Commander

Commander: Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver is the true commander and deck engine behind this list. His death-trigger converts every non-decayed Zombie death into a new threat and his end-step sacrifice turns Zombies into cards. The primary plan is Zombie swarm plus sacrifice synergy, with aristocrat drain and recursive beatdown as the second path. There is no real hidden commander, although The Scarab God acts as the strongest lieutenant. The usual finish is a recursion loop: Gravecrawler plus an Altar with Wilhelt creates an arbitrarily large decayed-army for a lethal attack, or same-turn drain via Bastion of Remembrance, Diregraf Captain, or Bontu's Monument.
