Deck overview

This is a classic Kaalia of the Vast Mardu Angel/Demon/Dragon beatdown deck. The primary game plan is to accelerate Kaalia into play by turn 3-4, attack immediately, and cheat a high-impact creature into play tapped and attacking. The deck aims to overwhelm opponents with evasive, powerful flyers like Master of Cruelties (reducing a life total to 1), Balefire Dragon (board wipe), or Archfiend of Despair (life-loss punishment). Extra combat phases from Aurelia, the Warleader, Full Throttle, Savage Beating, and Scourge of the Throne allow chaining multiple combats in a single turn, potentially eliminating one opponent quickly. The deck uses a small suite of protection spells (Mother of Runes, Boros Charm) and a few tutors (Demonic Consultation, Rune-Scarred Demon) to find key pieces.
