Deck overview

This Grixis deck, helmed by Sauron, the Dark Lord, is a value-driven reanimator and "amass" beatdown strategy. The commander's triggers convert opponents' spells and Army combat damage into card advantage via the Ring. The deck leverages a robust recursion package (Reanimate, Animate Dead, Living Death) to cheat out high-impact creatures like Archon of Cruelty and Razaketh, the Foulblooded. The Army token, built through amass triggers, grows into an oversized threat that can clear the board with Chandra's Ignition or Widespread Brutality while generating frequent Ring tempts to churn through the library. A backup plan uses All Will Be One with counter accumulation to burn opponents. The deck plays a midrange grind game, aiming to out-value the table before executing a decisive combat or burn finish.
