Deck overview

This is a three-color defender deck built around Arcades, the Strategist. The primary plan is to play low-cost walls, cast Arcades, and turn each defender into a cheap attacker that draws a card when it enters. Alternate toughness-matters enablers (High Alert, Assault Formation, Huatli) back up the commander, while Tetsuko Umezawa and Suspicious Bookcase provide evasion. A secondary combo uses Axebane Guardian and High Alert with five defenders to generate unbounded mana, then White Sun's Twilight creates lethal toxic Mites. The deck is a mid-speed battlecruiser with a strong draw engine but a real lack of permanent removal for opposing artifacts and enchantments.
