Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Mardu stompy list commanded by Kaalia of the Vast. Its primary strategy focuses on deploying Kaalia on Turn 3 using efficient 2-mana artifact acceleration, then attacking on Turn 4 to cheat massive Angels, Demons, and Dragons directly onto the battlefield tapped and attacking. The deck bypasses hefty mana costs to deploy game-ending threats like Master of Cruelties, Archfiend of Despair, Avacyn, Angel of Hope, and Gisela, Blade of Goldnight. A dense suite of equipment and haste enablers, such as Lightning Greaves and Dragon Tempest, ensures Kaalia attacks immediately upon entering play. To protect its fragile 2/2 commander, the deck packs premier defensive tools including Grand Abolisher, Deflecting Swat, Flawless Maneuver, and Teferi's Protection. While highly lethal in combat, the deck relies heavily on commander resolution and natural card draw to maintain its hand of heavyweight creatures.
