Zaxara, the Exemplary by CrimsonOldGod

Format: Commander

Commander: Zaxara, the Exemplary

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Zaxara, the Exemplary heads an X-spell/token deck that treats every {X} card as both a spell and a Hydra generator. The primary plan is ramp into Zaxara early, then use card draw and counterspells to keep the gas full while every X spell also creates a big token. Secondary paths use Unbound Flourishing and Owlin Spiralmancer to double/copy the best X effects, and Finale of Revelation or Villainous Wealth to convert large mana into cards or an opponent's deck. Zaxara is a single-faced commander; there is no hidden commander. The deck wins through a massive Hydra/Fractal combat swarm, usually with Biomass Mutation or unblockable effects as the closer.
