Deck overview

This deck is an Azorius Pillowfort Control build commanded by Absolute Virtue. It focuses on surviving the early game through efficient sweepers, countermagic, and asymmetric taxing permanents before deploying high-impact late-game threats. Early turns prioritize ramping with mana rocks such as Sol Ring, Azorius Signet, and Thran Dynamo while dropping stax pieces like Drannith Magistrate, Blind Obedience, and Authority of the Consuls to slow down opponents. On Turn 6, the deck casts Absolute Virtue, which cannot be countered and immediately shields you with protection from all opponents. Once Virtue is in play, it is equipped with cards like Caduceus, Staff of Hermes, Steel of the Godhead, or Lightning Greaves to clock opponents with lethal commander damage. Backed by heavy Phyrexian Praetors and sweeping board wipes like Farewell, the deck grinds out the table under an impenetrable defensive shell.
