Deck overview

This deck focuses on Kaalia of the Vast to bypass the heavy mana costs of iconic Angels, Demons, and Dragons. By accelerating mana on turns 1 and 2, the deck deploys Kaalia on turn 3 or 4. When Kaalia attacks, she puts massive threats like Archfiend of Despair, Drakuseth, Maw of Flames, and Aurelia, the Warleader directly onto the battlefield tapped and attacking. The deck backs up this explosive combat strategy with flexible low-mana removal spells, one-sided stax effects like Drana and Linvala, and mass land destruction via Armageddon to cement an unassailable lead. While highly lethal in combat, the deck relies heavily on Kaalia surviving her initial turn cycle without built-in haste, making careful timing of protection spells essential to maintaining momentum.
