[Proxy] Markov Empire B2 by user7730846

Format: Commander

Commander: Edgar Markov

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This is a Mardu Vampire-tribal deck built around Edgar Markov's eminence. The plan is simple: cast cheap Vampires, let Edgar's command-zone ability turn each one into an extra 1/1 token, then layer lords and go-wide multipliers such as Stromkirk Captain, Markov Baron, Shared Animosity, and Cathars' Crusade into an overwhelming combat kill. The deck also has an aristocrat/drain subtheme with Blood Artist, Cruel Celebrant, and The Meathook Massacre, plus a Blood-token engine led by Strefan, Maurer Progenitor and Anje, Maid of Dishonor. Olivia, Crimson Bride provides attack-trigger reanimation, while Exquisite Blood and Bloodthirsty Conqueror create huge life swings rather than a true loop. The commander is best treated as a finisher: because he has haste, casting him mid-to-late game and attacking immediately turns a wide board into a lethal alpha strike.
