Deck overview

This mono-black deck is led by Bob, Reluctant HYDRA Agent, turning his self-bouncing combat trigger into an engine for steady life drain and lifegain. By attacking alone, Bob returns safely to hand while draining 2 life from each opponent and gaining 2 life. The deck amplifies this drain with heavy lifegain payoffs like Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, Marauding Blight-Priest, and Ayara, First of Locthwain, alongside group slug punishers such as Sheoldred, the Apocalypse and Painful Quandary. Mana rocks and cost-reducers like Jet Medallion and Bontu's Monument enable smooth recasting of Bob alongside high-impact spells. The deck closes games around Turn 8 through cumulative drain multiplied by Bloodletter of Aclazotz and Wound Reflection, or via the instant game-ending combo of Exquisite Blood and Sanguine Bond. While it possesses strong passive card draw and board resilience, its primary vulnerabilities are a low count of reactive interaction and susceptibility to enchantment removal.
