Deck overview

This is a Sultai X-spell and Hydra value deck helmed by Zaxara, the Exemplary. The plan is to ramp into Zaxara, then convert every X-spell into both its printed effect and a sized Hydra token while Zaxara's tap ability fuels ever-larger casts. Primary wins are fair but crushing: oversized Hydra combat (supported by counter-doublers and trample enablers) and life-drain X-finishers such as Torment of Hailfire and Exsanguinate. A backup two-card infinite-mana line (Freed from the Real or Pemmin's Aura on Zaxara or another untap-friendly dork) turns any remaining X-spell into a hard win, but the list runs no tutors for those auras, so the combo is a late topdeck finisher rather than the main plan. The deck plays as midrange ramp-value with a dense instant-speed interaction suite, not as a fast combo deck.
