Deck overview

This deck is an Orzhov lifegain and group slug attrition strategy commanded by Liesa, Shroud of Dusk. The primary game plan focuses on establishing early taxing permanents such as Authority of the Consuls and Blind Obedience before deploying Liesa on Turn 4. Once on the board, Liesa applies continuous pressure by taxing every cast spell for 2 life while attacking with a 5/5 flying lifelink body to maintain a commanding life total advantage. Secondary drain engines like Sheoldred, the Apocalypse, Kambal, Consul of Allocation, and Painful Quandary compound this damage, steadily shrinking opposing life totals. The deck also includes the compact two-card infinite combo of Exquisite Blood and Sanguine Bond as an alternate late-game finish. Supported by an efficient removal suite that includes Swords to Plowshares and Toxic Deluge, the deck controls opposing threats while grinding down the entire table.
