Deck overview

This mono-blue deck converts unblockable combat pressure into table-wide mill using The Mindskinner. Because The Mindskinner replaces combat damage with each opponent milling that many cards, it attacks unhindered for 10 mill per turn starting on Turn 4. The deck accelerates this clock using double strike equipment like Fireshrieker, graveyard-scaling buffs like Bonehoard, and mill multipliers like Bruvac the Grandiloquent and The Water Crystal. Opponents are typically emptied of cards by Turn 6. To prevent graveyard-based decks from exploiting the massive influx of milled cards, the list includes targeted asymmetric stax pieces such as Grafdigger's Cage and Soulless Jailer. A premier suite of free and low-cost counterspells, including Fierce Guardianship, Force of Will, and Force of Negation, shields the commander while Cyclonic Rift provides total board control. If the commander is removed, alternative combos like Bruvac the Grandiloquent into kicked Maddening Cacophony close out the game with minimal delay.
