Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black lifegain-drain strategy helmed by Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose. The primary plan is to gain life through creatures with lifelink, direct lifegain spells, and drain triggers, then convert each point of life gained into opponent life loss via Vito and other payoffs like Defiant Bloodlord and Marauding Blight-Priest. The deck leans on a vampire tribal subtheme to amplify its drain triggers and recursion. It wins by grinding out the table with incremental drain, culminating in mass-drain spells such as Exsanguinate, Consume Spirit, or Gray Merchant of Asphodel. The deck has no infinite combos, relying on sustained value and recursion to outlast opponents in a casual meta.
