Deck overview

This Derevi, Empyrial Tactician list is a Bant Blink Combo-Control deck designed to out-value opponents through enter-the-battlefield triggers before executing a deterministic infinite mana combo. Built around the synergy between repeatable blink engines like Deadeye Navigator, Emiel the Blessed, and Displacer Kitten alongside mana-untapping creatures like Peregrine Drake and Cloud of Faeries, the deck rapidly generates infinite mana and flickers its entire board. Derevi provides exceptional tempo, untapping lands on combat damage while circumventing commander tax through its activated ability. A robust suite of creature tutors—including Worldly Tutor, Eladamri's Call, and Recruiter of the Guard—ensures high functional redundancy. The deck defends its win attempts with Grand Abolisher and efficient counterspells like Dovin's Veto and Swan Song, winning on the spot via Jace, Wielder of Mysteries or looping Brain Freeze to mill the table. It offers high consistency, multi-layered interaction, and resilient backup lines.
