Deck overview

This deck is a classic Orzhov Aristocrats strategy commanded by Elas il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim. The game plan revolves around generating expendable creature tokens, sacrificing them through zero-mana sacrifice outlets, and draining the entire table through death triggers while maintaining a high life total. With Elas in the command zone, the deck always has access to a core payoff, allowing the 99 to focus on dense token generators, repeatable draw engines, and resilient recursion packages. Asymmetric attrition pieces like Sothera, the Supervoid and Braids, Arisen Nightmare strip opposing boards while Teysa Karlov and Mirkwood Bats double the speed of life loss. The deck reliably begins its drain engine by Turn 4, establishes critical board pressure on Turn 6, and eliminates all opponents by Turn 8 through non-combat life loss.
