Deck overview

This deck is an Izzet Big-Mana Spellslinger strategy led by Rootha, Mastering the Moment. The primary objective is to cast high-mana-value instants and sorceries that feature built-in cost reduction—such as Delve on Treasure Cruise and Dig Through Time, or power-based discounts on Volcanic Salvo—to trigger Rootha's combat ability and generate massive X/X flying Elemental tokens with haste. The deck accelerates in the early turns using efficient 2-CMC mana rocks and cost reducers like Stormcatch Mentor and Goblin Electromancer. Once Rootha is established, it chains large spells, token copiers like Determined Iteration and Spark Double, and extra combat phases from World at War and Full Throttle to deal lethal aerial damage to all three opponents. Supported by versatile countermagic and board-clearing sweepers like Blasphemous Act and Volcanic Vision, the deck quickly converts big spellcasts into a decisive, flying combat finish.
