Deck overview

This deck is a five-color Spellslinger Storm strategy commanded by Codie, Ravenous Codex, utilizing creatures with the prepare mechanic alongside magecraft engines. The game plan focuses on deploying early ramp to establish all five colors, casting Codie, and resolving key velocity permanents such as Archmage Emeritus, Storm-Kiln Artist, or Displacer Kitten. Once assembled, the deck casts prepared spells from its creatures, which Codie duplicates to generate massive bursts of mana and cards. This rapid resource acceleration fuels an explosive Turn 6 storm turn, culminating in a same-turn table elimination through Aetherflux Reservoir life-drain or a high-count Brain Freeze. While the deck possesses explosive card flow and high lethality once its engine starts, it operates with minimal defensive shielding and relies heavily on resolving and maintaining vulnerable creature permanents.
