Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity Izzet spellslinger strategy piloted by Gandalf the Grey. It uses low-cost cantrips, rituals, and cost reducers to fuel a storm-style burn engine. Gandalf the Grey provides versatile utility by dealing direct damage to each opponent, untapping mana sources, and copying key instants or sorceries. Supporting cards like Displacer Kitten and cheap blink spells repeatedly reset Gandalf's modal restrictions, allowing multiple burn and copy triggers in a single turn. Complementary pingers such as Guttersnipe, Coruscation Mage, and Fiery Inscription combine with noncombat damage doublers like Solphim, Mayhem Dominus to rapidly drain all three opponents simultaneously. The deck generates massive card flow through Archmage Emeritus and Curiosity while converting spells into mana via Storm-Kiln Artist and Birgi, God of Storytelling. It caps off explosive turns using Underworld Breach or Mizzix's Mastery to close the game in one decisive burst.
