Deck overview

This deck is a Jeskai spellslinger strategy led by Gandalf, Party Guest. It pairs a dense roster of low-cost legendary Wizards with massive instant and sorcery spells. In the early game, the deck establishes mana rocks and cheap utility Wizards like Balmor, Battlemage Captain, Stenn, Paranoid Partisan, and Samut, Tyrant of Naktamun. Once Gandalf enters the battlefield on Turn 4, its combat trigger scales with the number of legendary Wizards you control, allowing you to cast expensive spells directly from your hand for free. On Turn 5 and onward, Gandalf cheats devastating high-cost spells into play, including Urza's Ruinous Blast, Aminatou's Augury, Inspired Ultimatum, and Magma Opus. These spells wipe opposing boards asymmetrically, refill your hand, and generate tokens. The deck finishes games through trampling combat damage amplified by Balmor, direct burn triggers, and extra turns from Time Stretch.
