Deck overview

This deck is a high-speed competitive Rakdos combo and storm strategy built around Ob Nixilis, Captive Kingpin. The primary game plan focuses on deploying Ob Nixilis early using dense fast mana and rituals, then pairing him with pingers or draw punishers like Firebrand Archer, Kessig Flamebreather, and Razorkin Needlehead. Whenever an opponent loses exactly 1 life, Ob Nixilis grows and exiles the top card of the library to play. This impulse draw engine rapidly digs through the deck into black tutors and rituals, assembling the deterministic win condition of Agatha's Soul Cauldron and Walking Ballista. Exiling Ballista with Cauldron grants Ob Nixilis the ability to remove +1/+1 counters to ping an opponent, which immediately replaces the counter and exiles another card, creating an infinite same-turn damage loop. Backed by Vexing Bauble, Pyroblast, Red Elemental Blast, and Necrodominance, the deck presents resilient, lightning-fast kill attempts.
