Smaug’s Hoard giver of gifts and taker of life by user7551420

Format: Commander

Commander: Smaug the Magnificent

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Smaug the Magnificent commands a mono-red dragon-treasure deck. The primary plan is to accumulate Treasures from Smaug and dragon synergies, then convert those Treasures into explosive mana, card advantage, and direct damage. The commander attacks for scaled damage and offers late-game reach, while the deck's dragons and treasure synergies provide multiple overlapping win conditions: commander damage from Smaug, big dragon combat, or alternate wins like Hellkite Tyrant. Secondary paths include tutoring dragons via Zirilan or Last Light, and using extra combat steps to push lethal damage.
