Format: Commander

Commander: Witherbloom, the Balancer

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This is a Golgari token-drain value engine helmed by Witherbloom, the Balancer. The deck's primary plan is to generate a wide board of creature tokens through spells like Saproling Migration, Awaken the Woods, and Mycoloth, then convert that mass into life loss via death-triggered drain effects (Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, Nadier's Nightblade) or pump spells (Overwhelming Stampede, Finale of Devastation). The commander reduces the cost of instants and sorceries based on your creature count, accelerating your token-making and removal spells. Secondary paths include mass recursion from Rise of the Dark Realms and Funeral Room // Awakening Hall to rebuild after wipes, and the Exsanguinate half of Stensian Sanguinist // Exsanguinate as a finisher. The deck wins through incremental drain or a single overwhelming combat step, but lacks fast combo lines.
