Deck overview

Y'shtola, Night's Blessed heads an Esper draw-and-drain control deck that spends the early turns curving into Y'shtola and using noncreature spells with mana value 3 or greater to deal 2 damage and gain life. The primary finish is the Bloodthirsty Conqueror + Enduring Tenacity loop, started by any opponent life-loss event, which drains all opponents. Secondary plans use Emet-Selch, Unsundered // Hades to recur instants and sorceries, large Exsanguinates, and lifelink/flying combat beats. Y'shtola is both engine and finisher, but the deck contains enough other drainers and control tools that losing or never casting her is not fatal. Emet-Selch is a support engine, not a hidden commander.
