Deck overview

This deck is an Orzhov midrange strategy centered on Mister Negative, utilizing life-total manipulation, drain payoffs, and blink effects to defeat opponents. The game plan spends early turns deploying 1–2 CMC mana rocks and setup permanents such as Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, Enduring Tenacity, or Wall of Blood. On Turn 6, casting Mister Negative triggers a life-total exchange that either sets an opponent to critical life, draws dozens of cards, or deals massive direct damage through drain engines. In the following turn cycle, cheap blink spells such as Ephemerate and Cloudshift re-trigger the commander to eliminate the remaining players. The deck features a 17-card removal suite to contest opposing boards, along with backup win conditions in Near-Death Experience and Psychosis Crawler. Its primary limitations are the commander's high mana cost, the absence of nonland tutors, and the inherent risk of lowering your own life total.
