Vivi Commander of Dragons

Format: Commander

Commander: Vivi Ornitier

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Vivi Ornitier is both a spellslinger mana battery and a ping engine. The deck grows Vivi with cheap pump spells; each noncreature spell adds a +1/+1 counter and deals 1 damage to every opponent. Once her power is high, her {0} ability converts that power into a huge burst of red and blue mana, which fuels more pump spells, X draw spells, or Dragonstorm. Veyran and Harmonic Prodigy double or triple these triggers, making each instant or sorcery deal 2-3 damage to each opponent. A secondary Dragon package uses Dragon Tempest, Lathliss, and Goldspan to close through ETB damage or a dragon swarm. Prismari and Niv-Mizzet act as alternate engines, essentially hidden commanders.
