Deck overview

This Jeskai Superfriends deck uses Commodore Guff as a commander-centric draw engine and burn outlet. The deck controls the game by deploying asymmetric stax pieces like Torpor Orb, Grafdigger's Cage, and Blind Obedience early, shutting down opposing creature triggers, haste, and graveyard recursion. It clears opposing creature boards with efficient sweepers like Supreme Verdict and Blasphemous Act while establishing a dense array of planeswalkers. Once established, engine multipliers such as Oath of Teferi, The Chain Veil, and Chandra, Legacy of Fire turn loyalty abilities into rapid card advantage and unavoidable noncombat burn. Opponents struggle to attack planeswalkers through token chump blockers and defensive enchantments like Sphere of Safety. The deck closes games around Turn 9 by stacking unpreventable burn from Commodore Guff and Chandra emblems alongside evasive tokens from Shark Typhoon and Elspeth, Storm Slayer.
