Deck overview

This deck leverages Ekthi, Contaminator Priest to turn every Equipment spell into an immediate board presence. Because Ekthi grants living weapon to all Equipment and provides a static +1/+1 anthem to Phyrexians, each Equipment enters the battlefield attached to a surviving Phyrexian Germ token. Cheap, high-stat Equipment such as Colossus Hammer, Bloodforged Battle-Axe, and Excalibur, Sword of Eden instantly become massive attackers without requiring separate equip costs. Tutors like Stoneforge Mystic, Steelshaper's Gift, and Urza's Saga ensure rapid access to key tools, while Skullclamp and Puresteel Paladin provide strong card draw engines. The deck protects its aggressive game plan with silence effects like Grand Abolisher and phase-out protection like Clever Concealment, closing out games through overwhelming combat damage and poison counters from Inkmoth Nexus.
