Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis Spellslinger Midrange strategy commanded by Saruman, the White Hand. The primary objective is to cast Saruman on Turn 4, then rapidly grow a massive Orc Army token by slinging cheap instants, sorceries, and interactive spells. The deck controls the tempo of the table with a dense suite of counterspells and removal while Saruman turns every answer into offensive pressure. Once the Army reaches lethal size around Turn 6, the deck closes the game using evasion pieces like Whispersilk Cloak, trample from Orcish Siegemaster, asymmetric bounce from Raise the Palisade, or burn spells like Fling. Backup token engines like Lord of the Nazgûl provide alternative winning routes if the commander is removed.
