Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black aristocrats and toolbox strategy built around Shadowborn Apostle and Shirei, Shizo's Caretaker. The primary game plan revolves around deploying multiple Apostles during the early turns to sacrifice six of them, tutoring a high-impact Demon directly onto the battlefield. While Shirei provides recursive value by returning 1-power creatures at the end step, the deck functions effectively through its Demon targets alone. Cheating Razaketh, the Foulblooded into play on Turn 6 allows the deck to convert remaining creatures into vital pieces such as Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, or Grave Pact. From there, it drains life totals and attacks with massive flying Demons to close out the game around Turn 9. The deck excels at board-based creature attrition and single-target protection but is vulnerable to sweepers and graveyard interaction.
