Deck overview

This deck is a focused Mardu Vampire tribal aggro and aristocrats deck led by Edgar Markov. The game plan exploits Edgar's Eminence ability, which creates a 1/1 black Vampire token whenever you cast any Vampire spell, even while Edgar remains safely in the command zone. In the early game, you deploy low-cost Vampires to build an expansive board presence without overcommitting mana. On Turns 4 and 5, anthem lords such as Legion Lieutenant and Stromkirk Captain combine with damage amplifiers like Sanctum Seeker and Bloodletter of Aclazotz to turn the token swarm into a fast, lethal combat clock. Card advantage engines such as Champion of Dusk and Welcoming Vampire ensure hand replenishment. If combat stalls or opponents attempt board wipes, aristocrats like Falkenrath Noble, Vindictive Vampire, and Bartolomé del Presidio convert dying creatures into direct life drain to finish off the table.
