Format: Commander

Commander: Bard, King of Dale

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Bard, King of Dale is an Azorius value engine that doubles every draw outside your first draw-step draw and doubles every token creation. The deck's primary plan is to land Bard, then use draw doublers and token-on-draw payoffs to bury opponents in card advantage and a wide board. Secondary paths lean on X-token spells, attack-trigger token creation, and anthem effects; Krang, Lucy MacLean, and Virtue of Knowledge act as hidden multipliers if Bard is unavailable. The commander's role is both engine and win condition: he turns everything from Secure the Wastes to Prince Imrahil into double tokens while drawing into more gas. Finishes are creature combat with flying and ground tokens, helped by Caretaker's Talent, The Immortal Sun, and Warren Warleader.
