Deck overview

This mono-black deck pairs Burakos, Party Leader with Scion of Halaster to create a resource-dense midrange engine built around the party mechanic and life-drain triggers. Burakos serves as a universal party member (Cleric, Rogue, Warrior, Wizard) that generates up to 4 Treasure tokens and drains defending players on each attack, while Scion of Halaster filters cards every turn to sculpt winning hands. The generated Treasure velocity allows the deck to quickly jump the mana curve into devastating board wipes like In Garruk's Wake, mass reanimation such as Rise of the Dark Realms, or disruptive beaters like Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet and Gisa, Glorious Resurrector. The deck's primary compact win condition is an infinite life-drain combo between Bloodthirsty Conqueror and Marauding Blight-Priest or Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, which closes the game in a single turn once triggered by any life gain or loss.
