Deck overview

This mono-blue spellslinger deck is led by Eluge, the Shoreless Sea, using its flood-counter mechanic to reduce the cost of the first instant or sorcery each turn. The primary game plan is to control the board with a dense suite of counterspells and instant-speed removal, generate value through spell triggers (Talrand, Sky Summoner, Archmage Emeritus), and win via infinite mana combos - most notably Isochron Scepter + Dramatic Reversal or Peregrine Drake loops - followed by bouncing opponents' permanents and attacking with token swarms. The deck also has a backup extra-turn plan via Teferi, Master of Time's ultimate. It leans heavily on Eluge's mana efficiency but can function without it thanks to multiple cost reducers.
