Deck overview

This Orzhov deck is helmed by Elas il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim and focuses on the Aristocrats strategy. It combines free sacrifice outlets, recurring token creators, and life-drain engines to grind down opponents while padding its own life total. The deck leverages heavy redundancy across its core roles, guaranteeing that losing individual pieces does not stall its overall strategy. It establishes its primary engine by turn 4, applying steady pressure before escalating to critical onset on turn 6 with damage doublers like Teysa Karlov and mass token generators like Elenda, the Dusk Rose. Disruption comes in the form of recurring edict effects, creature exiles through Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet, and turn-silencing protection from Voice of Victory. While vulnerable to exile-based board wipes and lacking instant-speed countermagic, the deck recovers quickly using graveyard recursion, closing out games around turn 8.
