Too much food will kill you by PCThirtyFive

Commander: Sam, Loyal Attendant and Frodo, Adventurous Hobbit

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is an Abzan Food-token value deck helmed by the Sam, Loyal Attendant / Frodo, Adventurous Hobbit partners. Sam is the engine: a 3-mana body that mints a Food every combat and discounts Food activations, reliably turning a single leftover mana into the 3 life that arms Frodo's Ring trigger and later card draw. The 98 is built to explode those Foods with stacked replacement effects - Academy Manufactor, Peregrin Took, Chatterfang, Squirrel General, Anointed Procession, Parallel Lives, Doubling Season, Mondrak, Glory Dominus, Elspeth, Storm Slayer, and Ojer Taq, Deepest Foundation - then cash the pile for cards, treasures, and a go-wide army. The primary win is combat, either as a doubled Halfling/Squirrel swarm or a same-turn pump from Pippin, Warden of Isengard or Night of the Sweets' Revenge. A three-card loop of Academy Manufactor, Nuka-Cola Vending Machine, and Peregrin Took is the backup combo finish. Both MDFCs are used as printed: Ojer Taq, Deepest Foundation is the token tripler (the land face is only a consolation), and Ishgard, the Holy See is a tapped white source whose adventure recycles artifacts.
