Deck overview

This Dimir deck focuses on executing an alternate win condition through Etrata, the Silencer. Etrata features an unblockable body that exiles opposing creatures with hit counters on combat damage, eliminating players who own three such cards. Normally, Etrata shuffles into the library upon resolving her trigger; however, this list circumvents that drawback by utilizing over twenty low-cost instant-speed bounce, flicker, and phasing spells (such as Essence Flux, Rescue, and Slip Out the Back) to reset her object identity before the shuffle occurs. To accelerate the elimination clock, the deck incorporates trigger duplicators like Strionic Resonator, Echo, Perceptive Prodigy, and Roaming Throne, alongside nonlegendary clone effects like Sakashima of a Thousand Faces and Spark Double. Additionally, Ramses, Assassin Lord can instantly end the game upon the first opponent's elimination. Supported by defensive taxes like Propaganda and solid recovery, the deck applies inexorable pressure while keeping its commander protected.
