Deck overview

This mono-black control deck uses continuous hand disruption, forced card draw, and graveyard reanimation to grind down the table. Led by Kuroki, Thief of Talents, the deck places opponents in a dilemma: allow Kuroki to grow into a massive menace attacker, or draw cards and allow Kuroki to steal their best spells for free. The deck leverages draw punishment like Orcish Bowmasters, Underworld Dreams, and Fate Unraveler alongside brutal discard engines such as Waste Not, Liliana's Caress, and Chains of Mephistopheles. Once hands are depleted, the deck finishes the game by reanimating massive threats like Sepulchral Primordial or taking over the board with Tergrid, God of Fright.
