Deck overview

The deck's primary plan is to deploy cheap non-Human attackers, cast Winota, Joiner of Forces, and convert each attack into free Human creatures from the top six cards. Hero of Bladehold, Myrel, Shield of Argive, Blade Historian, Greymond, Avacyn's Stalwart, and Captain of the Watch turn those triggers into a wide, increasingly dangerous combat board. Grand Abolisher, Voice of Victory, and several indestructible or protection effects help force attacks through interaction. The deck has useful disruption and several taxing permanents, but those effects do not form a dependable lock. Its main weakness is that the combat plan is powerful without being deterministic: top-six hits, blockers, removal, and access to enough damage all matter. It normally assembles around turn 4 and creates a must-answer board on that attack, but it has no supported fixed-turn table kill and no compact two-card infinite combo.
