Mono White Masochism by peanutbh

Format: Commander

Commander: Darien, King of Kjeldor

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a dedicated mono-white token swarm deck helmed by Darien, King of Kjeldor, built to weaponize self-damage as an engine. The core loop uses pain lands and damage-dealing mana sources (Ancient Tomb, City of Brass) to trigger Darien's ability, creating an army of 1/1 Soldier tokens. Smothering Tithe, Anointed Procession, and Mondrak, Glory Dominus multiply those tokens exponentially. Lifegain payoffs like Soul Warden and Auriok Champion keep your life total stable, while Cathars' Crusade and Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite turn the swarm lethal. The deck wins through overwhelming combat, backed by a dense protection package that includes Akroma's Will, Flare of Fortitude, and Clever Concealment. Recursion via Serra Paragon and Case of the Uneaten Feast provides recovery after board wipes.
