Deck overview

This Commodore Guff deck operates as a Jeskai Superfriends control strategy focused on planeswalker loyalty acceleration and group-slug burn. The early game establishes defensive barriers using pillowfort creatures and enchantments like Magus of the Moat, Norn's Annex, and Oath of Gideon, while Narset, Parter of Veils suppresses opposing card draw. Once Commodore Guff enters alongside supporting planeswalkers, the engine leverages proliferate creatures like Flux Channeler and Tekuthal, Inquiry Dominus to rapidly build loyalty. Powerful board wipes such as Urza's Ruinous Blast and Farewell clear opposing threats while keeping the legendary core intact. The deck transitions into a lethal clock around Turn 7 by multiplying loyalty activations with Oath of Teferi or tripling damage with Fiery Emancipation and City on Fire. Victory is secured through massive direct damage from Guff's minus ability and Chandra, Legacy of Fire, or by turning all planeswalkers into flying 4/4 Dragons with Sarkhan the Masterless.
