Deck overview

This deck is an Esper midrange strategy led by Marneus Calgar that blends go-wide token creation with an aristocrats drain package. The game plan focuses on deploying efficient mana rocks into an early commander cast, followed by repeatable token producers that trigger Marneus to draw extra cards every turn. As the token swarm expands, the deck transitions into lethal pressure through flying anthems like Divine Visitation, Toby, Beastie Befriender, and Thunderhawk Gunship, or by stacking life-drain triggers from Mirkwood Bats, Blood Artist, and Bastion of Remembrance. Asymmetric board wipes such as Hour of Reckoning and Martial Coup clear opposing blockers while leaving your token board intact. With robust removal and deep card flow, the deck controls the battlefield and grinds down the entire table across consecutive combat and drain steps.
