Deck overview

This deck is a high-speed cEDH Izzet storm combo list centered on resolving Underworld Breach to achieve explosive, same-turn victories. Leveraging an exceptional density of 0-to-1 mana acceleration—including Chrome Mox, Mox Diamond, Mana Vault, and Lion's Eye Diamond—the deck consistently attempts to win on Turn 2. The primary win line uses Intuition or natural tutors to assemble Underworld Breach, Lion's Eye Diamond, and Brain Freeze, milling the entire deck to generate massive storm before milling out all three opponents simultaneously. A secondary route utilizes Vivi Ornitier, Birgi, God of Storytelling, and Storm-Kiln Artist to chain rituals into lethal direct damage or storm-copied Prologue to Phyresis poison counters. To defend its rapid combo turns, the deck runs a format-ceiling interaction suite featuring Force of Will, Pact of Negation, Flusterstorm, and Defense Grid. With minimal reliance on its 7-mana commander, the deck executes with blistering velocity, tight redundancy, and premier protection.
