Deck overview

This deck is a classic Mardu Vampire tribal deck commanded by Edgar Markov. It leverages Eminence to generate free 1/1 Vampire tokens whenever you cast a Vampire spell, rapidly building an imposing board state without investing extra mana. The primary strategy swarms the battlefield in the opening turns with efficient low-cost Vampires, buffs the team using tribal lords like Stromkirk Captain and Legion Lieutenant, and pushes massive combat damage on Turns 5 through 7. Life-drain engines such as Blood Artist and Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose convert creature trades into direct damage against opponents. As a secondary win condition, the deck features the deterministic infinite drain combo of Exquisite Blood with Sanguine Bond or Bloodthirsty Conqueror. The deck's greatest strengths are its explosive early board development and resilient token generation, balanced by a vulnerability to heavy sweepers and light interaction against noncreature combos.
