Kefka by Zenti

Format: Commander

Commander: Kefka, Court Mage // Kefka, Ruler of Ruin

Bracket: 5

Deck overview

Kefka is a Grixis turbo-combo deck built primarily around the front face, Court Mage, as a discard-to-draw engine that also fuels Waste Not and generates card advantage from discarded card types. The back face, Ruler of Ruin, is a backup drawing payoff after the {8} transformation. Primary plan: resolve Thassa's Oracle after Demonic Consultation or Tainted Pact. Secondary plan: Underworld Breach plus Lion's Eye Diamond and Brain Freeze for deterministic mill. Kefka accelerates the game but none of the winning lines require it; there is no hidden commander. The deck packs 7 premium tutors, Ad Nauseam/Necropotence card draw, 10+ fast-mana sources, and 31 interaction pieces including free counterspells to protect the combo.
