Deck overview

This Mardu deck is a dedicated damage-redirection and spite-burn strategy centered on weaponizing symmetrical damage board wipes against opponents. The core plan deploys resilient rattlesnake creatures such as Boros Reckoner, Phyrexian Vindicator, and Brash Taunter that reflect incoming damage directly to opposing life totals. The deck then casts catastrophic damage sweepers like Blasphemous Act, Star of Extinction, and Chain Reaction, or damage multipliers like Fiery Emancipation and Dictate of the Twin Gods, turning board clears into lethal burn waves. Compact infinite loops involving Brash Taunter with Guilty Conscience or Blazing Sunsteel provide alternate instant-kill finishes. While Piru, the Volatile sits in the command zone as an 8-mana emergency reset and massive lifegain bomb, the deck operates autonomously through its 99. The lack of fast mana ramp and tutors slows development, but dense redundancy ensures explosive damage turns.
