Deck overview

This deck is an Esper Zombie tribal aristocrats engine led by Varina, Lich Queen. It establishes an early board of low-cost Zombies to fuel Varina's combat looting ability, filtering draws and loading the graveyard with key creatures. The primary game plan centers on assembling a sacrifice loop with Gravecrawler, Phyrexian Altar, and an aristocrat drain piece such as Corpse Knight, Wayward Servant, or Diregraf Captain to eliminate all opponents in a single turn. Backup plans include wide creature beatdown backed by Akroma's Will, mass reanimation via Living Death, and card velocity from Bolas's Citadel or Rooftop Storm. The deck maintains resilience against removal through persistent graveyard recursion and selective countermagic.
