Deck overview

This deck is a competitive Esper combo-control deck centered around fast combo execution and robust disruption. While Zur the Enchanter sits in the command zone as a repeatable tutor engine for powerful enchantments like Necropotence, Rhystic Study, and Rest in Peace, the primary game plan is a lightning-fast Thassa's Oracle victory using Demonic Consultation or Tainted Pact. Dense fast mana allows the deck to assemble its 3-mana win condition by Turn 3 with high consistency. The list is heavily fortified with free counterspells like Force of Will and Pact of Negation, alongside asymmetric stax pieces like Cursed Totem and Vexing Bauble that suppress opposing proactive lines. Backup win conditions including Jace, Wielder of Mysteries, Doomsday, and the infinite damage loop of Heliod, Sun-Crowned with Walking Ballista ensure that the deck retains multi-layered resilience against heavy disruption.
