Deck overview

This Rakdos deck uses Ozai, the Phoenix King to store unspent mana across steps and phases. By attacking with firebending creatures, it accumulates a large reserve of red mana. Once Ozai banks 6 or more mana, he gains flying and indestructible, protecting himself while enabling massive finishers. The deck converts this mana surplus into table-wide direct damage through spells like Crackle with Power, Exsanguinate, and Jaya's Immolating Inferno, or takes multiple attack steps with Aggravated Assault and Hellkite Charger. Redirection spells like Bolt Bend and equipment like Lightning Greaves shield the commander during vulnerable setup turns. If Ozai is countered or removed, secondary engines such as Neheb, the Eternal and Avatar Roku, Firebender provide independent mana generation to ensure the deck can still resolve game-ending burn spells.
