Deck overview

This Grixis deck is piloted by Don Andres, the Renegade and is entirely built around exiling, casting, and commanding opponents' spells. By deploying cheap mana rocks and early theft rogues like Laughing Jasper Flint and Thief of Sanity, the deck swiftly sets up its commander on Turn 4 to turn stolen noncreatures into Treasure ramp and stolen creatures into menacing, deathtouch beaters. In the mid-to-late game, the deck scales aggressively using engines like Etali, Primal Storm, Plargg and Nassari, and Kefka, Dancing Mad, while converting cast-from-exile triggers into burn through Passionate Archaeologist. While the deck generates massive card advantage and fun dynamic gameplay, it has limited native instant-speed interaction and protection, making it reliant on stealing opponents' answers and keeping its engine creatures safe from board sweepers.
